Bio: Ana Lucia Hernandez is an undergraduate in communication disorders at Texas State University. Her research focuses on using machine learning to create an emotion recognition tool for people on the autism spectrum. She is passionate about learning new things and including diverse perspectives in research. In the future, Ana plans to continue her research and pursue a master’s degree in communication disorders. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family in her free time.

Bio: Kimberly Stevenson is a senior at Texas State University pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. She is excited to apply her skills and passion for computer science to impactful research and gain further experience. Her interests include cyber security and machine learning. Bio: Ashley Yang is an undergraduate student at Arizona State University, pursuing a Computer Science major and a psychology minor. She enjoys experimenting with user-interface designs and transforming programming ideas into reality. Ashley aspires to leverage her design hobbies, understanding of human psychology, and background in human-computer interactions to advance technology through service initiatives and in the professional workforce. Bio: Hi! My name is Jessica, and I am a Statistics and Computer Science student at Northwestern University. I’m interested in researching different applications of machine learning to benefit people. Bio: Maya Nachega is a rising 3rd year at Vanderbilt University majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Her research interests lie in the novel use of technology to improve the way of life for those with neurological and physical disabilities.
